I appreciate that right at the start, Esolen has provided fundamental definitions of 'nostalgia' and 'culture' -- both intended and necessary to re-calibrate our minds about these two words and their implications. My favourite sections are "Sed Contra" (in the intro) and "Culture, Against Decay" (in Ch1).
