God help me but I hate psychoanalysis. I haaaaate it, I hate being made to read the word "phallus" over and over again and I have having the world explained to me through the essentializing force of gender and I know that's probably not quite it but I CAN'T SEE THE NUANCE THROUGH MY EXTREME DISCOMFORT AT HAVING TO READ "PHALLUS" AND ITS FRIENDS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. In other news, I skimmed this last chapter.
