I was working at a book store with LoS was released and I was so intrigued by the title, but realized it wasn't a stand alone. A couple of years later, I've finally read books 3 & 4 of the Smiley series (why didn't I read books 1 and 2? such a good question), and now I can finally move on to this. Brighside is that his writing is FAR more accessible than the 2 books I've read, and that makes me so happy.
