Too bad this book is a huge hardcover - I only read it at home because it's too heavy to take out.

Yeah, I had to start re-reading since I put it down for a month. So far, I am very sad for the pearl-swallowing Termez woman. Sounds like she thought she could win herself some time when faced with slaughter during Genghis Khan's massacres, only to have her stomach cut open. Poor lady without a name.
