A passage with a game of Joust made very clear that this wasn't too be taken to seriously. It's a fun read, but I wasn't expecting the "young adult fiction" level of writing. I'm afraid this is heading toward an unironic happy ending that would be, in reality, depressing like 1984 (ironically?).
