A valuable book that brings together several approaches (systems theory, psychology, theology) to the paradoxical bind of church "stuckness." However, I found it more academic than pragmatic (I need an applied practical illustration to go with abstract teaching or I lose interest). His presentation of 'orders of change' (p39) within the Adaptive-Technical spectrum was a good new insight that I am pondering. Also helpful is the encouragement to reject linear thinking.
