I hate myself for saying this but I kinda like this origin for Billy more than the more recent New 52 one... I mean, I love that for the whole Shazamily thing and obviously it made for a fantastic DCEU entry, but the backstory with Billy’s parents here and Adam taking Mary? It's so intriguing, I'm absolutely hooked on it.

So, it seems in this comic universe, Black Adam raised Mary? Or at least took her in at a young age. I wonder how that will turn out...

(Also, who's older between Mary and Billy? Are they still twins here? Where was Billy when Adam killed Marilyn and took Mary? I know Billy has that Tawny doll Marilyn hid some of the treasure in... Where was he when all that went down with his parents?)

I really should have started with this than the comic series but only the series was available on DC Universe... Sigh. Gotta backtrack now and read this.
