Arthur meets Slartibartfast who takes him to see the reconstruction of Earth. The original earth was an experiment by mice to build a computer to get the answer to the universe which ended up being 42. The mic that came with trillian needed a question to match this and threatened to take Arthur’s brain. They escaped and are heading to the restaurant at the end of the universe.

Zaphod is cousins with Ford Prefect, while arther dent had met him at a party in London 6 months earlier. They end up at Margathea a mythical planet with rich history, when try to enter missile shot at them but Arthur enacts the improbability drive. Whale from sky cracks ground

Babel fishbin Arthur’s war to translate. The Vogons find them on the ship, read poetry to them that’s terrible then are to be kicked off the ship. There is a part about the vogon guard where Ford brings to light he is doing his job but doesn’t know why and that he can be promoted. I relate to ford in seeing this as a terrible way to live. They are let out the hatch.

President Zaphod Breezlebloc is making his speech, unveils a ship with Heart of Gold and is about to steal it . He smiles at Trillian so she might be going too.

Arthur dents house is going to be bulldozed. Ford Prefect tells Mr Prosser to lay in front of his bull dozer for Arthur while they go to the bar. The world is going to end ironically because the Vogans are building a passway.
