I don’t feel like any of the characters have much of a personality. It might be because both Lyra and Vesper have undergone life changing disasters or that I haven’t read far enough. Although because of this I haven’t felt invested enough in the book. The beginning is really dragging out and I don’t feel any motivation to keep reading.
