This is literally the equivalent of "It's just a prank, bro".
I understand that they're all sixteen, but how stupid do you have to be to agree to a confirmed dangerous person's idea of "pranking" someone while they're outside in space on a very thin line doing a very important thing (connecting the antenna so that they could communicate with Mars) by firing a thruster at full speed, ultimately killing them?

I understand that the author is trying to make this seem like a more realistic vision of the future, but now I'm getting annoyed by the overuse of the word "ultra". It doesn't even seem like a real word anymore.
Also, my phone broke, which is...fun. Now I'll get a new one, because that one died and won't turn back on, no matter how long I charge it.

If you want a book with likeable characters, this isn't he book for you. I already hate the cast here, and most of them are incompetent and whiny or drug addicts or both. You know, when I saw the tile "Losers in Space", I didn't think that it would actually be about, well, losers in space.

Oh. Ohh. I should probably stop calling it "science fiction" and "pseudoscience fiction", then.
Surprisingly enough, before this, I had basically no idea what hard and soft SF was. I guess I should also stop getting angry with books that don't have good science.
