Oops, 19th Century. Still, not happening in Colonial America or 12th C. England.

We were doing so well ... and then it came: "Okay." I am beginning to have a real pet peeve about this 20th C. American slang term showing up in places like 18th C. Colonial America (as it did in my reading today), 12th C. England and more. I feel a blog post coming on.
