The scene is set in Southern Texas, but they speak a lot of Spanish throughout the book. There are protesters explaining why we should not use this type of rocket to get to other planets and the main character is explaining to them why we should. The main character is trying to get involved in helping test fly one of them(multiple rockets get flow every week for exploration). Even though months of training is added.

At this time the ship of 90 experienced people. They have found this planet light years away from Earth. They are currently exploring this planet and have been with different details for the past 50 pages.

Now that the ship is safe, the crew and main character has taken off. They are currently drifting off through space at light speed until they find something (planet wise).

At this point there is now two different perspectives in the book. One is the guy who is going through training to be able to operate the ship and the second guy is trying to blow up the ship because he is one of the protesters that got hired by an opposing company to ruin the 99th mission to find the Black Star.
