Kraiklyn is not too bright to risk the ship and crew repeatedly for small gains. Wonder how he really got it in the first place. Annoying overuse of four-letter words reduces my impression of an otherwise super fun book.

Bank's whole Culture concept has me hooked but but this first book took a turn toward absurdity with The Eaters. I will still give books 2 and 3 a chance.
