This book is definitely different from the others. Laura is older and taking on more responsibilities in her family, but part of her wants to enjoy being a kid and not have to think about growing up. It's a shame kids had to grow up so fast back then. Here she doesn't want to be a teacher when she gets older, but her ma and pa want her to, and she doesn't know how else she will make money, so shell have to teach.
