Peter and Lara Jean broke up. Lara Jean has got the hots for a new boy named John. Except John isn't entirely new. Him, Lara Jean, Peter, Chris, Gen, and Trevor were all friends back in middle school. He just recently moved back into town and has also stolen Lara Jean's heart.

Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky have been dating for a while now. But, Lara Jean's ex-best friend is Peter's ex-girlfriend. So, as you can imagine, it can be complicated between Peter and Lara Jean sometimes. Especially since Peter and Gen (ex-girlfriend) still talk all the time which makes Lara Jean and Peter's relationship have a thin layer of trust. LJ tries not to get jealous but sometimes it's just too hard.
