Out of the man extinctions and onto animals of the past. Can't say I agree with his belief on why creatures like the original penguin, passenger pigeon, dodos, etc. are extinct. Seems a pat answer at least to me...

Unicorns, dragons, Jenny Hanivers, basilisks, giants, krakens, barometz sheep & barnacle geese as well as the great unknown of the seas. What a great start!
And I love the humor (did the Chinese dragon come from lizard or dachshund?), the knowledge even outdated and the spirit of a German who still reads the works of Frenchmen when he shouldn't. ;)
