I’m enjoying that this is a simple account of a man’s fight to stay alive in a world that is corrupt and facing the effects of war. It doesn’t go into too much detail and explains what was going on in his mind through each step. It’s like Tadeusz is sitting in front of me, telling me his life’s story.

I like that this book is easy to read and follow. Though there have been parts that I wish were separated since they confused the narrative (mostly one paragraph giving behind the scenes facts), the rest feels as if I’m reading Tadeusz's journal!

I’m already enjoying this story. I actually love how it was written and can’t wait to learn more about Tadeusk.
