In the book, Will has just began to adapt to the life of a Ranger, and how it’s different from a knights path. Horace has now realized how much Battleschool makes him suffer, through hard training and bullies.

The writer’s style is switching between two people’s perspectives. I like this style because it lets you see two sides to a character. But, this style also leaves you on cliffhangers, which isn’t good.

My opinion on what is happening in the book so far is that it is unbelievable. Most people have never faced the monster and lived, let alone two. But Will managed, with help, to kill two of them. I also think that Will is very brave, because a lot is happening at once for him.

In the book, Will has just defeated the monsters that were attacking Halt, the Battlemaster, and the Baron. Right now, he is celebrating with his friends, Jenny, Alyss, and Horace.
