I want to like this book. However, it feels like it has a very political agenda so far. Written in 2014 the issues it deals with while rather timeless, seem very much to the reader of today. Granted I am not that far into it, but the political unrest we are thrust into in the opening of the book could really use some more background.
Not sure if we will continue or chalk it up to a nice filler between books.

2025 - This book is very timely with what is happening in the US now. I honestly don't know if we finished this book before, but it had been sitting in Goodreads unfinished so I thought I would start it again. The opening of this book hit like a ton of bricks with closing borders and blaming immigrants for everything. Wow. Let's see where they go from here!
