I enjoy the grotesque nature of this book, it’s what I also enjoyed about In the Miso Soup. Any look into the depths of depravity humans are capable of delving into always interests me. However, I find the pacing of this book to be disorientating and often times demotivating. The progression of the story feels forced and scenes are often not given enough time to pan out before we are cut to another.
