Truthfully I tell you: the extended tales on the children of hurin and the story of the mariners wife have been the most distressing, oppressive and woeful of stories I have read. Why can there not be anything cheery!!!! But my oh my Tolkien knows how to write.

Out of all the stories. The children of hurin is the darkest... you hope for all to be well but the curse of morgorth is quite frankly his own planning web of deceit and malice. Disgusting.

Now it is getting dark. The story of the children of hurin is so gloomy!

Oh.... now I want to read more of Gondolin.....

Absolutely fantastic.

Uhm. Wow. This is just as good as the Silmarillion. I am loving this!!
