Really good. Like all books derived from Indian mythology Sauptik and Adi Parva are companion books- each is complete without the other while also complimenting each other. Amruta goes the Neil Gaiman way- many many art styles, multiple (shifting) narrators and the whole spectrum of visual representation- photographs, abstraction and stylised diagrams. I also love how the actual battle of The Mahabharata is condensed to just a few pages. The two books combined move very very fast and cover so much ground that it's dizzying; also because Amruta is so young! But do read the books. I enjoyed Adi Parva more. We have all read The Mahabharata in so many forms that it's a little difficult to tell the stories faithfully without being repetitive. Adi Parva, however, is quite something.
