So far it’s less exciting than expected. All three main characters are self centred and annoying. I was hoping for more insight into the dystopian future that Lund tries to create but she’s only scratching on surfaces and not explaining things. What happened to the insects? Why did half of the world collapse? Why were people moved from Beijing to rural areas? Many questions and only a slow moving story.
