I've read this section before in The Book of Swords, but if I'm not mistaken GRRM has added new parts for this book.

I kind of like that the style of this leaves a lot to the imagination. And that it leaves out a lot of the boring shit that's in the main books, like the food descriptions.

I've been excited for this book since it was announced (you can tell because I read it within a year of its release date). Most people were upset this wasn't Wind of Winter, but honestly, I've always preferred a prequel to a sequel, and I've long lamented that when (if?) GRRM finishes ASOIAF he'll be too burnt out to write the prequel I want so badly. So this was a really pleasant surprise.
