I think the author is trying to say that if technology gets too far out of hands then the world will be a miserable place to live. With the virus to hear others thoughts, I think the author is telling us the dangers of advancements in medical care.

I think that Todd will eventually get to where he wants to go, and I think that he will fall in love with the girl he met on his journey.

Independent thought is restricted because everyone can hear everyone's thoughts. They all have fear of the outside world because they can hear what people are thinking and they can read their next moves at all times. Dehumanization because they can't think whatever they want to think 100% of the time

I think that the author of this book wanted to depict a society where it's difficult for everyone to get their job done. With hearing everyone's thoughts, it is very difficult for the people of the society to focus on just one person or even their own thoughts. The virus is what went wrong, and the noise just over powers everything.

The villain in my book is the Spackle. They were an army that came through a town and infected everyone with this virus that makes people hear thoughts. Todd leaves the town to try and get away from this infection so he can think clearly one day.

Todd Hewitt has just been kicked to the swamp. His family doesn't want him to get hurt, so they make him leave and run as far away as possible.

The world has too much noise. you can hear everything that everyone is thinking.
