I think I'm a little bit further than 80 percent but I can't be arsed to go check right now; in lieu of reading this fic today, I've just been downloading more HP fics because my love for Harry Potter fanfiction has been rekindled (no pun intended - well, maybe a little intended). This fic is quite wonderful, but I haven't really gotten into a new HP fic series for a long time so it could just be nostalgia *shrug*

While the Slytherins are acting uppity around Harry, Harry isn't speaking in defence of anyone, instead adopting a morally-grey approach to the Slytherins' disregard for anyone not in House Snake. This means that Ron, Hermione, and the like, while not altered too much from canon, are seen in the opposite light, as bullies/snobs. It's always a refreshing viewpoint to be made - that goodness is a matter of perspective.

I live for multi-chaptered canon/AU fanfics like this! Characters are given development and not shoehorned into hero/villain roles right off the bat.
