I am finding the main character completely unlikeable. I really hope this changes soon, or I'm likely to leave this book unfinished. Either he needs some reason for me to like him, or the story has to really grip me. One or the other.

I'm not enjoying the main character more, but he isn't irritating me quite as much as earlier in the book. And the plot's beginning to get more interesting. Still not 100% but I'm close to deciding, whether good or bad, that I'll stick around through at least this book.
