I am struggling with this book. It's set in Paris in 1889, but in this story there's all this magic use and junk, which is fine. The part I'm having difficulty with is that these people all seem highly accomplished with years of practice and experience behind them... and they're all teenagers. Also, someone just used A ZIPPER. I guess zippers were actually being used by magicians before all us muggles stole the idea?
