In the book "Mergers" Dirk had a master plan to kill senator Broogue without them actually killing him. They found out about a robber that was going to be at a convenient store and the robber would shoot him as a kid.

In the book "Mergers" Nicci traveled back in time to save senator Broogue from turning evil. As they went back in time they found out that they had to save him as a kid. They then find out that senator Broogue is a dog that has been following them, Senator then tries to bite his grandmother but fails.

In the book “Mergers” The Elders wanted time merge with the group to make Dirk more powerful against senator Broogue. The Elders did this because they know that it will throw senator Broogue off guard and give them a better chance to defeat him.

In the book "Mergers" Dirks is in trouble because the senator has taken him hostage. So his friends come and save him. They save him by everyone joining together telepathically so that Nicci can have enough energy to teleport everyone back to the safe haven.

In the book "Mergers" Dirk was talking to senator Broogue telepathically and senator Broogue promised Dirk that he would tell his side of the story and help Dirk with his powers. When Dirk was done talking to senator Broogue, he was thinking about ways to kill Dirk but then he thought about taking Dirks powers and joining them together to make senator B stronger and unstoppable.

In the book "Mergers" the elders are starting to actually teach them how to use their powers. Keiko trys to use her powers on a bird that had its wing broken. Keiko was thinking about herself too much and couldn't focus on the bird, so the baby bird died.

In the book "Mergers" the elders are trying to teach the younger group about their powers. As they were talking about their powers Marcus came to attack them, but he started to talk to the kids and try to have them turn their backs on the elders.

In the book "Mergers" Dr. Pan wanted to test a new experiment with all the kids. Dr. Pan wanted to merge everyone's powers together and their minds to make them more powerful against Marcus. But the downside is that she doesn't know if it will work or not and they don't want to take the risk.

In the book "Mergers" Madame Moment talked about how she got her powers. She started off by talking about mold in her school and how scientists began to investigate this new mold. So she got her powers by being in the school and having it exposed to her.

In the book "Mergers" the kids are still with the elders and are trying to figure out what is going and who they're related to. Mateo found out that he's related to the senator who's trying to kill him and his friends.
