With Trump and his supporters (including the Christian right) the war on reality has reached unparalleled depths of idiocy. Science, reasoning, facts and reality are their enemies. Their dream is a post-truth, faith-based (towards their Dear Orange Leader or their fundamentalist religion, or both), and over-simplified world for the simpleton.

Trump (and Hitler) knew that undermining trust in reality based news is necessary for fascist to take control. (Hitler called it the 'jew press' trump calls it 'fake news').

Very true.
And I agree re: Mark Zuckerberg: he is so full of s..t that it defies imagination. Facebook news? What a joke, considering all the fake news appearing in that platform.
The sad things is also that somebody like Trump is still President, while Nixon had at least the decency to resign, and for much less that Trump did. They were other, more decent times, I guess.
