"Conviction becomes its own drug...the gateway drugs are interrupting, raising your voice over objections, and deliberately misunderstanding interlocutors... addicts move on to ranting at hidden forces, demonizing ethnic groups... if unchecked they ... fire up a tiki torch. The fact that a slogan like "Jews will not replace us" literally *makes no sense* is, at this point, not a defect but a mark in its favor."

"This apparently innocuous news source and networking device is in reality one of the most pernicious features of a political structure that uses human boredom as a lever to maximize profit and undermine democracy"

"We must take seriously that there are no facts of the matter, that culture is not a shell game working to prop up articulable bourgeois interests, but instead a free play of empty signifiers and random spectacles that - yes - tend to reinforce current interests, but not by hiding a discoverable truth."

"..a new kind of boredom - the torpor of a depressed electorate that watches helplessly as its country is systematically undermined by a clear traitor who maintains a shadow-play of "putting America first"... unnaturally abetted by a spineless Republican Party that cannot dissociate itself from this obvious, indeed dementedly clownish whack-job for fear of surrendering its lucrative incumbencies."

"The Interface is implicated in the breakdown of truth as a governing norm because it casts everything in a grey zone of zero accountability. By the time a falsehood has been noted, we are already three turns along in the cycle. And the cycle never stops."

This is so much more than the facile promotional blurbs suggest.

"We no longer straightforwardly produce goods and services, or even produce consumption; instead, we produce and consume ourselves under the sign of our own status as consumers - or perhaps better, "users", "followers", "friends", and so on. And yes, those scare-quotes would seem to indicate the presence of word-casings in particularly virulent form."

"This low-level infernal imprisonment within the labyrinths of promised but illusory individuation would, then, be another way to describe the zombification of the self under current political and technological conditions."

This is getting good.
