I loved all of 10 of the Louisa Baldwin stories in this collection. I think the other reviews on Goodreads were a bit too hard on simple yet very satisfying ghost stories. These are vintage Victorian-era tales with all the classic supernatural elements one would expect from this period. They may not be groundbreaking or reinvent the wheel but they’re enjoyable and spooky reads nonetheless!

“The Weird of the Walfords” — Brilliant, bitterly ironic story of a cursed bed. Loved this one!
