A little dry, could use more solid arguments and points, some fixes. The book points out trivialities and a lot of it now is obvious because the things that are listed as banal and mediocre have only proliferated; it has been over thirty years since then, video games more sophisticated, more gruesome films, pornography is ubiquitous. I think this is why I am yawning a bit with this read. It's all old news. Even media

Appreciative, it's easier to see in retrospect, Corwin courses through salient points, e.g. Warhol's work, and how triviality pervaded his films. Another memorable moment: the list of meaningful, informative films to which an overwhelming majority were unaware of, e.g. "A Matter of Fat," "King--A Filmed Record," and a film about the migration of wildebeests in Africa."

Good read, informational, not too dense, succinct chapters, point is clear: little things made into big things while the big things are minified and made trivial.
