Entire first chapter could be skipped. The over identification of being a woman creates separation and is void of any real Shakti or upliftment.

Made the decision to put it back on the shelf for a while. Not an enjoyable read. Not uplifting in feeling or encouraging of insight.
While the mudras and postures are pleasant, the over emphasis of a woman’s life stages and hormones provide a disempowered separative narrative.

Chapter 1 - political disempowered narrative
Chapter 2 - academic, dry and not entirely accurate when discussing Bhakti Yoga or the females Gurus listed
Chapter 3 - skewed and perspective and oversimplification of Siddhis and their attainment, irrespective of yogic efforts.
Disappointing so far.

To highlight the differences in the female make up and requirements for hath yoga is interesting and valueable.
However the book seems to encourage the leaving of a lineage or Guru for the shear fact that a woman cannot be understood by a man. The prioritising of personhood over sadhana could be detrimental to ones spiritual progress and highlight separation rather than oneness
