So far, it's been a difficult read. Not that it's boring or anything. I love that it takes place during pre-Islamic Iberia— and PIRATES! Pirates always makes things better!

It's just been difficult stomaching the rape of children and beatings. Even if, historically, kids of today aren't considered kids then. Fair warning: do not read this at night. That was my mistake.
