Bethany has been attacked by a shark. It will change her life forever but she is willing to stay strong and regain her strength so that she can surf again. Yes, she gets stares and meets judgemental people but in the scheme of things, she is happy that she can still surf. Bethany proves that even though she is missing an arm, she can still become a world-class surfer. I think that this book was very inspiring.

Bethany grew up in Hawaii and was raised as a surfer. She is homeschooled by her parents and spends her time collecting shells, going to church, and of course, surfing. Her life is complete but when she gets attacked by a shark, her life will change forever.
