Siona Adams > Status Update

For a while we were studying native Mesoamerican art which is not included in this book, and then we were supposed to read the East section in the book and I just didn’t feel like reading it lol. The next two weeks are focused on the West, and it’s been an interesting read. This has been one of my favorite classes in all three years I’ve been at university.

Finished the chapter on the Southwest Native Americans. Really interesting learning about the culture behind the art being made!

For your second week we’re reading the first half of the Southwest chapter (focusing in precontact Native art). Next week we’ll finish the chapter and focus on postcontact.

We had to read the introduction for our first week of class. There were some interesting parts, but overall I found the introduction to be boring. I hope the actual content of the book will be more interesting and less dry.
