She goes from being a vulnerable and an underdog to fearless and hyper-competent so quickly it knocked me right out of the story. This could have worked if Khoury didn't jam both incidents right on top of each other. If it had been the next day, or even given her an hour to decompress it could have worked. That kind of turn on a dime is whiplash inducing.

A couple of things. First, this is obviously musical Harry Potter which is fine, but it's really really for musicians.
More important, just finished the part where they test the students to finish a song while trying to distract them. What I'm guessing is going to be the 'big reveal' was given away here, and her emotional vulnerability is done really well.... then they immediately ruin it.
