this story is coming to an end and, while lovely, i can't say it went the way i wished it did.

the first 50% felt like one book (meeting, courting, mating) and the remaining 50% felt like another (children, resolution of initial hurt/comfort issues), but that, stitched together, the result was somewhat rushed and even a tad detached.

caleb and jacob got to know each other but as a reader i never got to know them.
