About AD 36000, the Mechs are 'harvesting' humans in order to create art. The Mantis (a supreme machine) feels something is missing and makes a deal with a human. The beginning (dramatized) scene is creepy and haunting. Then it indulges in a bit philosophical thinking about human mind and soul. The exquisite (poetic and rhythmic) language and the narrator's superb performance make this audiobook a compelling listen.
