Regardless of the gender representation of circumcision’s (whether it’s practiced on male or female bodies/genitalia) the act itself is just another ideology that tradition promotes to inflict gender roles and expectations upon our individualistic identity.

I’m only familiar with three of the eight arab female authors mentioned in the collection so far. Many of them have a very limited identification online! That’s why this book is the perfect guide for tracing the feminist evolution through the 20th century.
