I was excited to see this book was written in my favorite POV structure--split first person--but I was wary about the lack of character names labeling the POV sections. But somehow it works--the author manages to make it apparent from context within the first few lines of each section who is speaking.

I love the style, too. It reminds me of a fairy tale while still retaining everything I love about modern fiction.
