After the killer of the main character married his mom, the boy went out to find a new job and ghost hawk follows him as a spirit. In the end, he grows up to find a job and live in a different place to also become married.

The main character was sending out a letter and heard the cry of the boy he saw. He went to help and got shot and died by the boy's tribe men. He still narrates the story, it's just in a ghost-like form. He is reviewing the life over the boy since his tribe only had a burial for him and moved on with there life. He is able to have people see him at times, but only when the time is right.

The White men have now come to there location and for the purpose of to become allies. Little Hawks combine tribe is teaching the two white men how to fish while the boy that came along is playing with the children. The boy and the two men got back together after there lesson.

When he came home there was a plague that killed off his village. His found another village that has also gotten the plague. They are working together to recreate everything. They want to start to make an alliance with the White Men.

He has caught a deer and used the skin as more cloths. A big storm has come and lasted four days, so he sat inside his little cave he found and built something around it to saver it as a home.

At this point Little Hawk was blindfolded and his father lead him out into uncharted areas. He was going out at the beginning of winter. His task was to stay in winter alone and survive to become a man. It was something the tribe did for every boy at the certain age. His father took the blind fold off and left.Little Hawks task was to fast until his Mantawa came(His spirit guide)After it came he could eat and survive
