Jayson
Jayson is starting

Thoughts:
(1) I've been putting his off for the longest time. Possibly it's because of the length. Stuffing thirteen issues of a series in a single trade paperback is not a good sign.
(2) Deathstroke is the most Rob Liefeld character DC has. He's so Rob Liefeld that Rob Liefeld's most popular creation, Deadpool, is a direct parody of Deathstroke.

Notes:
(1) The most disappointing thing about this book is that I can't give it one-star. As abysmal as the first part of it is, the second part goes from dull and tedious to pretty decent. It's essentially a three-author anthology, and I can't punish the entirety of it for the sins of its opening third.
(2) Two more issues remain, and it's over!

Thoughts:
(1) I've been on this for a week now, with no end in sight. It's an unfortunate reality of life that the most boring books take the longest to read.
(2) I don't know what it is about this book but I've just fallen asleep while reading this again. Must be the third or fourth time! I can't remember the last time that happened before this.

Notes:
(1) There's this new character, Deadborn, who's obviously a Deadpool rip-off (he even alludes to it in dialogue), which is pretty meta since Deadpool is a Deathstroke rip-off. I guess the idea's "what if Deathstroke fought Deadpool," but it's not Deadpool, so...
(2) Joshua Williamson writes much better than Rob Liefeld. It's night and day.

Notes:
(1) I've reached the point in the series where Rob Liefeld suddenly quit. Up to now he'd written and drawn every issue of this run, but the split proved so acrimonious that he's given third billing as both writer and artist, and his solicited cover art was scrapped.
(2) I only fell asleep though one of the last two issues. An improvement!

Notes:
(1) I've only been able to read one issue a day. Not so good for my reading challenge, but at least it's getting done.
(2) This is the second straight day I've fallen asleep reading this. They were both late at night, but still.
(3) So far, all the issues have each been one long fight scene, with just enough story to set them up. Tiresome.

Notes:
(1) Apparently, the "knock-off X-Men" team I mentioned before are actually the Omega Men and a member of the WildC.A.T.s. That makes sense, the design is very early Image.
(2) Why is this hero team so racist against Khunds? I'm sure not all of them are slavers.
(3) Are slavers the default space bad guy? I had my fill of them in "Red Hood."

Notes:
(1) Deathstroke has a fight with, apparently, the X-Men (but not the X-Men). I know Deadpool started off as a Deathstroke rip-off, but I've not read enough Liefeld to know if he's especially known for knock-offs.
(2) Liefeld's dialogue sounds like Dan Brown. Too early to tell if it's so-bad-it's-good, like Brown, or just bad... like Brown.
