Ch.17 "The choice is ours". - Part of the epilogue. Personal reflections from the author whether or not the climate crisis will be solved. It is possible, history has proven that society always keep changing.

ch.16 "thoughts on a lonely planet". - Last chapter, a bit of summarize. Discusses the difference of handling flooding/droughts in different parts of the world. In sweden this would not ruin us. In Mali it would. Also talks about that consumerism and american "standard of living" does not equal happiness.

Ch 14. "Eating Burgers, driving suvs and Flying off to thailand" - individuals should not be blamed. Their impact is too low and creates a distraction from the real solutions

ch. 13 "On the Art of strategic navigation".
- Komplikationerna i policymaking. Bästa vore emission taxes över alla sektorer i hela världen. Men då det inte funkar få hitta andra sätt att nå målet.
Nuv plan. Få EU att sänka emissions men fortf växa ekonomiskt. Att det ska få USA med på båten. Att sedan gemensamt sätta press på Kina. "Check mate Climate saved" (Förlita sig på ekonomisk tillväxt = SÄMST DOCK)

Ch 12. "Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic"
- explaining international agreements, and looking at developed countries vs developing countries need to cut emissions. The ambition must come from within, never works to go and boss around and tell your neighbor what to do.

Ch "you just wiped out the U.S Economy".
How economic growth needs to slow down, but that the cost is not that great as alarmists would like us to think. (takes about 2 years of not getting richer..)

Ch "out of the frying pan, into the fire"
Small chapter about nuclear power, basically saying that renewable energy sources are more dependable and less likely to start nuclear war.

Ch: ' A dream come true... or a nightmare?'
Reder ut problematiken med biofuels, hur det är en bra lösning men kräver stora landområden och riskerar regnskog, höjda matpriser samt hotfulla förhållanden för bönder i U-länder.

Lösningen behöver bestå av minskad köttkonsumption (för att frigöra landområden och minska metanutsläpp), Förbud mot deforestation, samt certifieringsystem för biofuelsbolag

Ch8, emission on taxes can make it possible to tax-cut other fields.
