This looks like an interesting read.

It is inspiring and gut-wrenching. J and I interviewed a number of the Bataan Death March survivors a number of years ago, tried to pull in additional views and experiences. I can hear their stories running parallel to this one.

Fascinating. I'll have to check it out. My mother's relative (an uncle, I think?) was in the death march and I believe he did not survive.
