“It’s an overgrown little pond choked with cattails and ripe with the smell of rotting vegetation. And the “Estates” were not really estates, but a motley collection of mobile home set on concrete slabs.” The book is first person and it really helps feel like the main character is telling the story to you. It’s more like having a conversation than just reading a book
