I'm not liking Jake very much, no, as a matter of fact I'm having the intense desire to smack his head with something, anything, as long as it rattles him a bit and gives him some new perspective.
As for Kurt, yeah I loved him and I still do. This character won me fairly quickly from the first moment I met him in book #1.
As for the story itself it has a very slow progress till now and too many flashbacks.
