how does this compare to the mini-series?

It's ok. The mini-series makes the move to Milton quick, but it's more lengthy, so I'm finally to the part where they get settled in. I'm hoping there's more social commentary, but since it was apparently written for a serial I doubt it'll get as deep as I'd like. Also, there is no Richard Armitage so.....

hmm. okay, I'll finish the series first then! I feel like N&S is the book I really, really need to read this year though.
