I remember having read lot of her books back in 1980s but this new collection. Lot of people think that writing this style of poetry is an easy thing to do it's isn't. If don't believe me, try it.
Rhymes in comical verse is anything but easy, it is hard work to make it make you laugh out loud.

I read a lot of comical poetry in 70s, she is one of few writers who hasn't changed her style. One of poems brings back memories of group of players at Newton Aycliffe in 1970s were did Romio & Juliet their Juliet was 50y woman! Or princable boy in Pan in her 60s the poetry brings back memories.
You can not only hear the laughter but see the dinner party, or visually actions of the football dog. Enjoy really good fun
